A brown ink portrait of almost identical composition, slightly larger and entitled "Gerrit van Honthorst, Autoportrait" is in the collection of Le Cabinet des Dessins du Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, France. It entered the museum's collection in 1892, as part of the extensive drawings collection bequeathed by the Chevalier Jean-Baptiste Wicar (1762-1834).
